A
Gravatt Wedding
Thank you for
thinking about having your wedding at Gravatt. A wedding at Gravatt is a
different experience than you will have at any other facility. Our unique
setting is rustic, personal, serene, and God-filled. All of Gravatt is a
sanctuary.
In order to
better serve you, we want to make you aware of Gravatt’s policies for weddings.
- For
the couple wanting exclusive use of the conference side on a weekend, a minimum fee of $5000 will be charged.
This may include your ceremony and reception space, lodging, and meals.
Minimums for weekday and camp side weddings can be negotiated. Couples not
requesting exclusive use may have to share public space with other guests.
- A
50% nonrefundable deposit on the estimated total contract is due within 10 days
of booking in order to reserve your space.
- Your
guaranteed count is due two weeks prior to your arrival, and your balance due
on the guaranteed contract amount is due at this time PLUS a $500 refundable
security deposit and $100 insurance fee (insurance fee can be waived if you
show proof of $1M liability insurance rider, sometimes available through your property
insurance provider).
- In
the event of a cancellation within two weeks of reserved dates, no refunds will
be given except for security deposit.
The renting party is responsible for the behavior of its members and
for conveying all policies and procedures to each member of the group. A “Guest
Use Information” sheet will be
provided to share with members of your group.
Damage
done to Gravatt property as a result of a group function will be at the host’s expense,
and will be billed accordingly. Gravatt cannot assume responsibility for the
damages to, or loss of, any articles left prior to, during or following an
event.
- For
a Saturday wedding with Friday night rehearsal, space will be available for
decorating beginning at 4 PM on Friday afternoon. Space can be made available
earlier only if a meal is scheduled for Friday lunch or overnight
accommodations are scheduled for Thursday night.
- Lodging
rates are $60 per room per night at Cole Lodge and $55 per room per night at
the Cottages.
- Dressing
room rates are $60 per room.
- Use
of Gravatt catering is required for conference center side. Outside catering
may be used on camp side with approval and a kitchen use fee.
- Meal
rates per person begin at $10 per person for breakfast and $12 per
person for lunch, and $15 per person for dinner. Actual cost will depend on the
menu agreed upon with our conference center director.
- Gravatt
does not provide wedding cakes or floral arrangements. We can recommend some
local resources for if you would like.
- Gravatt
has a limited number of tables and chairs. They work well for our setting, but
we can recommend a local rental company for your additional needs.
- Alcohol
use by a minor and the use of illegal drugs are prohibited. Although Gravatt does not serve alcohol,
groups may bring their own, so long as they also provide non-alcoholic
alternatives. You are responsible for bartending and insuring that minors are
not served alcohol. Drunkenness is
unacceptable behavior at Gravatt.
Persons electing to consume alcohol should do so in moderation and in
such a way that other guests are not disturbed.
- All
buildings – including screened buildings – are tobacco free. Tobacco use by
those of legal age is to take place only in outside areas away from doors, and
cigarette butts must be properly disposed of in disposal stations provided.
Groups failing to follow this policy will be charged a substantial cleaning
fee.
- Sunday
room check-out is 10 AM.
